Eucharistic Celebration on board MV “Beautiful Star” while vessel was in motion . . .
Today’s forecast for a rainy and windy Saturday , did not deter small sea crafts from joining the Fluvial Procession which brought the miraculous image of Holy Infant Jesus from Ouano Wharf – Mandaue City to Pier 1, at Cebu City. A re-enactment then, of the Baptism of Queen Juana and Rajah Humabon was depicted, at the Basilica del Sto. Nino Pilgrims’ Center with more devotees patiently waiting to witness the interpretation.
While it was earlier reported that only 20 vessels were given permits to participate in the Sinulog fluvial procession along the Mactan Channel today, 17th January, our photos indicate smaller crafts braving it out, as well. It rained alright, but not enough to drench the faith of devotees supporting the annual fluvial commitment.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) through its Visayas Director Oscar Tabada, had cautioned participants against the possibility of experiencing moderate to rough seas.
HAPPY FIESTA SENOR !!!
