25 May 2014, SUN – Medical Mission at Alcoy

Tingko Beach of Alcoy – 94 kms southeast of Cebu – never ceases to lure beach combers and sea bummers with its velvety sands, arched shore lined with coco palm trees & limestone cliffs and the inviting promontory of Bantay sa Hari.

Just last week, off at Barangay Bonbon-Alcoy, some 283 patients/beneficiaries were teeming at the vacation home of Dr. Yul and Babie Rallon for this year’s 5th Annual Operation Tuli, Medical and Dental Mission. This was backed up by six (6) doctors, four (4) dentists and 12 nurses – generous and kindhearted -who performed 38 circumcisions, 58 excision biopsy and 187 tooth extractions.

Whew! Quite a count ! What Blessings !

The project was made possible through the sponsorship of Pedro S. Romanos Memorial Foundation and was offered as thanksgiving and love offering of the new Registered Nurse Jillian Rae Rallon, for having passed the recent Nursing Licensure Exams.

Hectic, hot and fast paced, medical staff were later treated to a night of relaxation and camping by the beach.

To get to the venue : From the Cebu South Terminal, hop in a Ceres Bus bound for Alcoy, get off at Barangay Bonbon and ask for the Rallon House. Fare is 100 pesos.
